Sens top Habs in OT; Camallerri Injured

The Habs couldn’t hold their own yesterday afternoon against the streaking Ottawa Senators as the team from Kanata picked up a franchise record ninth straight win.

Alex Kovalev notched a goal and an assist for the Sens and Les Habitants failed to score 5-on-5 throughout, with Benoit Pouliot and Brian Gionta netting powerplay markers to force overtime with Mike Fisher eventually scoring the winner. The Habs have now not scored at even strength since their 6-0 win over the New York Rangers last week. Halak was steady in goal for the Canadiens.

Now for the really bad news: with only seven minutes to play in the third period Mike Camallerri took a bad spill into the boards after being checked by Anthon Volchenkov and had his right leg twist awkwardly. Reports today say that Cammy left Scotia Bank Place on crutches and with an inflatable leg cast on. Uh-oh.
