Habs Clinch Northeast Division Title

With their 3-0 shutout win over the Ottawa Senators last night the Montreal Canadiens have taken their division title for the first time in 16 years. Lead by Carey “Cold as Ice” Price, the Habs are looking stronger and stronger heading into the playoffs.

The Habs are now in a dead heat with the Pittsburgh Penguins for first place in the Eastern Conference. The Pens play the Flyers in both of their last two remaining games (Wednesday, Sunday) while the Habs will host the Sabres and Maple Leafs in their last two (Thursday, Saturday).

I personally see Montreal winning both of its games so all we need is for the Pens to lose a single point in either of theirs (although a regulation loss in one or both would be much better).

Lord Stanley, here we come!
