Bruins 3 – Canadiens 1

boston-bruins-logo-150Damn you Boston! What I had hoped would be a convincing win for the Habs over the Northeast-leading Boston Bruins fell to pieces last night in Beantown as the Zdeno Chara lead his team to a 3-1 victory. Chara had two goals and Tim Thomas stood on his head for much of the night, denying everything but a secord period shot from Andrei Kostitsyn including a monster save on the older Kostitsyn as the Bruins’ goalie lay on his stomach and reached his glove hand up.

The win puts Boston a solid 12 points ahead of us, though we do have a game in hand. Catching the Bruins means beating the Bruins, however, and getting players like Price, Koivu, Tanguay and Higgins back will help with that.

We host the Nashville Predators on Thursday before embarking on a five-game road trip
