Blues 4 – Canadiens 3 (SO)

The Habs came out on flat feet to celebrate Carbo’s 48th birthday as Halak and company gave the Blues, the third lowest ranked team in the league at the moment, their first road win in over a month yesterday. The entire Canadiens team looked a little slow and sluggish (I’ll personally point out Andre Kostitsyn – he was terrible) and Jaroslav Halak didn’t look nearly as sharp as he did in his 3-0 shutout victory over the Islanders on Sunday.

In the end the Blues took the game 4-3 in a shootout, giving Montreal the point needed to tie the New Jersey Devils for first spot in the East; the Devils went on to secure a single point against the Rangers today (Wednesday) so they currently sit one point up on the Habs with one game in hand.
